I had just typed N.D.E. in the title for this blog……. and then decided to check my emails.
The first email began…...”My good friend and investigative journalist, Jonathan Otto recently had the privilege of interviewing Dr. Rashid Buttar about his recovery journey after he had a terrifying near-death experience.”
It confirmed to me, the blog title was indeed inspired.
N.D.E. stands for Near Death Experience!
This email went on to describe the miraculous recovery of Dr. Buthar from ‘the bioweapon’ and advertising a series giving the latest information about treatments for those who have succumbed.**
A number of you have enquired about the source of my illness.
Both doctors I consulted with said their tests resulted in the same diagnosis as Dr Buthar’s – ‘the bioweapon’ They said it had weakened my immune system and my body had succumbed to certain microorganisms that would normally have lain dormant and harmless.
Although Hilary and I have not been ‘jabbed’ with the experimental shot (It is not a vaccine) it seems there are many possible ways in which to be exposed to ‘the bioweapon’ from shedding from those who have taken the shot, to exposure to it in food, air and water.
I remember sharing at my men’s group just as the troublesome rash was starting. At the end of the meeting, unrelated to my sharing, Bill threw out, “You should really read That Hideous Strength” by C.S. Lewis.“
I had read the first book in The Space Trilogy, ‘Out of the Silent Planet’ 50+ years ago in English class at ‘Grosvenor’. I sensed the Lord wanted me to revisit the series. So I purchased it and turned to book number three.
For the next few months I was not well enough to do much else, (including writing blogs!) so I settled down to read Father’s assigned text.
I was quickly reintroduced to the main character I had first met all those years ago at high school, Professor Ransom.
I began recalling his adventure in ‘Out of the Silent Planet’ and his battle with the ‘dark forces’ from earth that had forcibly kidnapped him to offer as ‘a human sacrifice.’ on planet Mars.
The correspondence to current day events, was already dawning on me!
I had sensed from the start of the illness that my suffering had a significance that went beyond ‘me’ but that connected somehow to our world and the painful transformation it is currently undergoing. This was confirmed even before I began reading the story proper, for on the flyleaf Lewis revealed the source of his title,
It is indeed the fall of that arrogant Tower of Babel built by Man in an effort to displace God, that we are witnessing in these days of an attempted “Great Reset” for it is God’s time to fulfill Revelation 18:2 “Fallen, fallen is Bablyon the great!”

Hilary has been reading The Final Battle in the Narnia series with our granddaughter Saachi. We are both astounded at how prophetic Lewis’ writings are proving for these days. I did a previous blog series on The Silver Chair. I would encourage you after that lighter appetizer to also pick up on this fuller meal for an ‘uncanny’ foreshadowing of current events.
In That Hideous Strength, written in the 1940s, “The Progressive Element” use false flag operations a captured press, and government declared states of emergency, to further a eugenically based, transhumanisr Technocracy. Sound familiar?
Lewis was writing about a dystopian world where, “..the physical; sciences had begun to be warped, subtly maneuvered in a certain direction. Despair of objective truth had been increasingly insinuated into the scientists, indifference to it, and a concentration on mere power the result.”
This morning I heard Noah Harari, who they call, ‘the prophet’ in Scwabb’s Great Reset, proclaim the chief value of science is not truth but, “about getting power over the world.”
Watching UKcolumn.org news the other day I discovered the British Government have a department called N.I.C.E.
The organization seeking to destroy and enslave humanity in That Hideous Strength is also named by Lewis – N.I.C.E. standing for the National Institute of Co-ordinated Experiments.
Who writes this stuff?
Thankfully we know our Father God is the Author of all things.
As I read or reread all three of these books I was also struck as never before how ‘not NICE’ Lewis could be in his writing. His depiction of the utter deceitfulness and depravity of evil and the intensity of the suffering it inflicts I found painfully graphic!
What hit me again and again was the ‘discomfort’ our hero Ransom experienced, throughout the series. Maybe that was because I was sampling this same discomfort as I doused myself in ACV hourly throughout the night to try and get relief from the incessant itch and a few minutes sleep!
As Neil Oliver says, there is absolutely nothing NICE about where the ‘globalists’ are trying to lead us! In this video he picks up on a leader from history who heroically lead a company far out of their “comfort zone”
Every day new evidence and documentation emerges awakening people to the diabolic agenda that is causing not just ‘discomfort’ but death and disability to millions worldwide.
I have referenced in the passed Juan O Savin’s comment that America needs to experience a N. D. E. The other day in answer to people’s frustration with how slowly things seemed to be getting resolved he responded. “You think we’ve had an N.D.E.? So far it has been more like “a bad hair day!”
Then he went on to say that this monumental change for mankind is going to take much more than the current level of discomfort for people to awaken to the level of corruption and evil there has been for hundreds, even thousands of years….. and to have them determine to never go back there again.
I am reminded of the old chorus,
I have decided to follow Jesus……The cross before me, the world behind me……No turning back. No turning back.
On Wednesday morning I felt well enough to go for the first run in a very long time.
The sky was clear, the sun was rising, the snow pristine, and I felt compelled to venture out again into the local woods.
I realized I had missed almost completely the beautiful fall season and was now suddenly plunged deep into the heart of Minnesota’s winter wonderland.
Quite honestly it was like being resurrected from the dead!
As I jogged gently along the trail taking in the creator’s glorious handiwork, an old chorus rose up in my spirit,
“We shall rise! We shall rise! on that resurrection morning we shall rise!
Realizing I needed to listen to my healing body I slowed to a walk, and then saw approaching an odd sight.
Coming toward me was a figure wheeling a unicycle along the narrow snow trail! We slowed and stopped to exchange a greeting.
“You’re going to ride that, on this trail?” I asked, pointing to the unicycle.
“Checking it out first.” He replied. “But it looks good”
.……..and what a great day!” He added.
“A Resurrection day!” I replied.
“Yes! …..and for you too!”
He grinned………. “Enjoy it!”
As we went our separate ways I reflected on his smiling countenance – like that of a clown who you might imagine having fun riding such a wheel.
I was genuinely left wondering, “Man or angel?” Then concluded that whether a natural or supernatural being he certainly was God’s messenger and in that sense His angel sent to me, confirming the joy and hope of resurrection beyond “the grave times” not only I but the whole world has been experiencing of late!
Arriving home I checked emails and was surprised and delighted to received two heartwarming messages from friends with whom we had lost contact with about 20 years before, and whom we thought we might never hear from again!
One friend was named Renee, meaning….NEW BIRTH.…“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us NEW BIRTH into a LIVING HOPE through the RESURRECTION of Jesus Christ from the dead.” (1 Pt.1:3)
At a personal level be encouraged that our Father is the Smiling Unicyclist…….those things and people you fear you have lost, will circle round in God’s perfect time.
The other friend was called Newton…from NEW town or CITY …...”I saw the Holy CITY, the NEW Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband……….And the One seated on the throne said, “Behold, I make ALL THINGS NEW” (Rev. 21:2,5)
At a cosmic level be encouraged that our Father is the Great Unicyclist…….whose plan is that the whole of his creation will circle back round to him in the end….
“…..and through him (Christ) to reconcile to himself ALL things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.” (Col.1:20)
It’s been a while since I have written a blog, but this morning our Psalm for the day began,
“Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!
Its time to sing to God a brand-new song so that all his holy people will hear how wonderful he is!” (Ps. 149:1)
Our reading from the B.O.M. was entitled, “Into the Deep”, and this confirmed to me that I should begin to share with you something of the journey I have been on recently, as I have responded to Jesus invitation that I should ‘forsake the shallows’, to go fishing with Him!
A few months ago, ‘out of the blue’ I developed a severe skin rash. It began on my head, face and neck and subsequently spread over much of my body. It was extremely itchy keeping me awake night after night. I knew It was little or nothing compared to the suffering of others and of Christ on the cross, but for someone who has been blessed with good health for much of my life it propelled me far out from my ‘comfort zone’, and into the deep.
We had to postpone the Freedom! retreat scheduled for October as I looked and felt like a Halloween goblin : – ) Even my kids didn’t recognize me when Hilary sent them a photo!
This ‘into the Deep’ experience however inevitably shaped what I imparted when we finally did host the retreat last weekend.
“Out of the depths I wailed.
‘O God how I have failed.
This time It’s more than I can bear.
O my God!……….Could you still be there?'”
On the first night of the retreat, I resurrected this song which I had written as a result of another testing time just after we moved to the USA 28 years ago, singing it this time with an even deeper level of understanding.
The next morning I proceeded to talk about the first step of ‘Repentance’. Then one young lady who had clearly been touched from the the night before, spontaneously cried out,
“But I am so messed up! Nobody in my family believed in God, so when I was 18 I had a serpent tattooed on my shoulder. I could never repent from all the shit that has been a part of my life!”
I looked her in the eye and said,
“You just did! Your calling your past “shit”…. That is repentance!”
What joy to see her smiling face and hear her testify at the end of the retreat how she was now free. – rid of that “shit”!
A few weeks ago I found myself sitting at the dinner table with Robin and Ben, sharing with them about the journey I had been on. I realized they were nodding their heads not just in respectful agreement but in heartfelt identification. They had both been there!
Last Tuesday at Robin’s CD launch at the 331 Club, he Ben and I shared the stage for a ‘Round Robin’ as we took turns to spontaneously choose a song to sing and talk about the story behind it.
“Grace” turned out to be a common thread for the the first round.
Robin then shared a song that came out of the fiery trial of the amputation.
Ben followed with a song about his battle with ‘Lyme’s disease when at one point he couldn’t even remember the names of his children. I realized where we were going this time, so again I began….
“Out of the depths I wailed….”
The final round produced some tender love songs.
Again Holy Spirit had been working the magic in another young lady’s heart. Junk from her past and her own ‘fiery trial’ had produced in her a desperation for something different, something better, something more, something intimate……real love!
I found her at the end hanging on to Hilary…… tears flowing. They didn’t stop for hours.
Within a couple of days we had launched out “Into the Deep” and watched the Master Angler, make two perfect catches.
I started this blog this morning with the story of Jesus and the disciples launching the boat “Into the Deep“.
At lunch Hilary and I reviewed the snippets of the night she had captured of each of the three of us singing a song.
I smiled when she finally showed me Ben’s one.
Oh! …The synchronicity of our Dad : – )

I noticed the movie lasts 2hr.16mins. The filmmaker might not have been aware of this, but the name Joshua occurs 216 times in scripture. Joshua lead the children of Israel out of the wilderness and into the promised land.
In the New testament Joshua translates to Jesus. I believe at this pivotal time in human history he will prove to be the Savior not only of those who now believe, but ultimately of the whole world. “He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.” (1 Jn.2:2)
Hand in hand with the movie that uncovers the evil at work in our world we need to set forth the goodness and greatness of the PLAN of our God who is sovereign over all things. Therefore I am posting again the song I AM the Author as THE BEST NEWS

I have referenced in a couple of previous blogs the Covid commentator Dr John Campbell. While appreciating his sincerity, my concern has been his rather blinkered approach. THE BETTER NEWS is, that this appears to be changing!.
John is ultra careful about what he says so that he will not get banned from Youtube, but in the following recent post it’s clear his skepticism about the effectiveness of ‘unending’ shots has grown.
He also comments that he knows nothing about the World Economic Forum and Davos, and invites people to give him information.
I think viewing THE BAD NEWS as depicted in The Big Reset, would be of great help to him.
I think hearing and believing THE BEST NEWS as articulated in the song if he is not yet aware of it, would be an even greater thing!
This morning as I sat watching the rising sun, I could hear the distant church bells ring a familiar tune. I began singing along,
“Praise to the Lord the Almighty the King of Creation……….”
I was a little surprised that I was able to sing along four times, as the lyrics of all four verses came flooding back!
Recently I have found myself singing more.
I have become more sensitive to that ‘still small voice’ or ‘gentle breeze’ of the Holy Spirit, recalling a line or a tune from the catalogue of songs in my memory.
Last week I entered my 70th year, and after seventy years of listening and singing songs that’s a large catalogue to draw from.
There are those simple childhood choruses and then the traditional hymns from the Presbyterian hymnbook we sang every Sunday at church (often chosen the night before by my Mum and Dad)
Add to that the heartwarming Wesley hymns from the Methodist hymn book Hilary introduced me to, and then again those ancient gems by Tersteegen and Gerhardt rediscovered and set to new tunes by a brother in Bangor where the Celtic monks from the Abbey under Comgal had offered up continuous praise for hundreds of years.
Then there are those anointed songs birthed out of the charismatic renewal…… and of course my own songs which are not a few.
Beyond these there are all the other songs I heard on “Top of the Pops”, piped into shops, at wedding receptions, and on and on…… for nothing cannot be infused and reused by the Holy Spirit to convey a timely message such as “I get by with a little help from my friends.” or “The times they are a- changin”” or the one I usually sing at the start of the Freedom retreat to introduce people to Rivendell, the old Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young number….
“Our house is a very very very fine house,
With two cats in the yard
Life used to be so hard,
Now everything is easy ’cause of you.”
I then go on to explain that the two cats who used to be in the yard (Frodo and Izzy) are now under the yard, and that the ‘you’ is of course Jesus, whose ‘yoke is easy’ and whose ‘burden is light’.
(During the night after writing this. The Lord woke me and spoke this to me,
“ I have placed BIDEN as a heavy BURDEN on the shoulders of America, so that they will come to me, whose yoke is easy and whose burden is light.”)
I find that when I yield to the song that the Holy Spirit is bringing to my awareness, and begin to sing out, it is never the same. Made in the image of our Creator Dad we too as his kids are endlessly creative as we yield to his Spirit. Ted from Pensylvania wrote recently, “Ascent of the Bright Hostage is blessing me mightily (again) recently.” The wind of the Spirit brings fresh life to these gifts from the past.
This afternoon I went for a bike ride and “God Works All Things Together For Good” was the song that rose up.
As I yielded, I found myself repeating with a different cadence,
God works all things together for good, for good, for good for good.
God works all things together for good for good for good for good.
Then as I became more aware of the other people out, sharing my sunny afternoon, it became,
“your good, your good, your good, your good” as I appointed my song and the promise of God in their direction!
So the next time you hear that whispered song……
Let It Rise!

“So what brought you here from Ireland?” asked Jim. The Homesmart rep who had called last week to give us an estimate for replacing the furnace and air conditioner, had picked up on my accent.
“In a word – God.” I replied.
“Oh enough said!” He responded, and I knew it would not be one of those service calls that leads to a deeper sharing of hearts and the caller leaving with a “Live at Rivendell” CD : –
The next day however, I had two other repairmen call.
The first, Jon, got our dryer sorted and then on the doorstep leaving asked if I knew any of the other Minneapolis Kyles….like at The Anchor Fish and Chips.
“Oh that’s my son’s place.” I said
“Really! My wife and daughter worked there….I even bussed tables there at one time.” He chuckled. “In fact I know your other sons too!”
Not an hour later he had listened to the Live at Rivendell CD I had given him, checked out my blog, and sent an encouraging text that we were “on the same page”
A few hours after Jon left, Josh arrived to give me an estimate for replacing the defunct condenser and air handler in the upstairs apartment.
Once again he left with a, Live at Rivendell in hand, to play to his three little ones, grateful and bemused because he had never before on a job been given a CD from a musician!
“You’ve a lovely family here.” he commented as he passed by Robin and sons rebuilding their old trailer
The more superficial conversation with Jim had continued….
“So what do you work at?” He’d asked, but without even looking up he’d answered, “Don’t tell me. I’m sure you’re the CEO of some big business.”
I chuckled to myself and said nothing.
Jim’s was a reasonable guess given the wonderful home God has provided for our mission and we realize most folk probably do assume we must be ‘independently wealthy’
Well of course we are, in the sense that Paul says, “all things are yours, whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the future—all are yours, and you are Christ’s, and Christ is God’s.” (1 Cor. 3.21-23)……. but not in the sense of having a source of funds ‘independent’ of God’s daily provision! (I receive around $2,000 a year in Royalties for songs, to put that ‘record straight’ : – )
As I said on a previous blog, when we arrived here, Father directed us simply to “Make friends and be friends,” Then he said, “Only sing for friends….. and never ask for money.’
We knew he brought us here, not to ‘make a profit’ but to ‘be a prophet.” ………In a country where everything shouts Commercial, we were to model, ‘no strings attached’, Relational.
We could write a book about how over these past 28 years God has kept his promise, “Seek first the kingdom of God and all these things will be added onto you.” To the last minute and to the last penny, time and again we have been moved to tears by folks generosity often as the ‘widow’s mite’ has arrived perfectly on time.
An enormous, “Thank you.” to all readers who have been lead at one time or another to support us practically, and to the small group who do contribute regularly.
At the dedication of ‘The Big Green House’ the word came, “It’s a miracle in progress!”
That has proven to be the case as month by month Father has provided what has been needed for us to continue to fulfill our mission in this ‘Home’ as he directs us from day to day.
Is. 50 says, “Morning by morning he awakens my ear to hear….. that I might received a word to sustain the weary.” The outworking of what that looks like has morphed over the years. Nowadays we spend less time on ‘in house’ discipleship and more time listening for that ‘word’ in the ‘morning’ which I will often then share on ‘the blog’.

The other day we were talking to a wise brother who has journeyed with us over the years and the continents! We were asking him about what we should do, now that after 20 years in the Big Green House some major repairs were coming due.
His response was, “I see this as an OPPORTUNITY for others to participate with you in the mission! You should take this OPPORTUNITY to let them know that you have this need!”
It was an Ah-Ha! moment for us….. as we saw yet another aspect to this being “The Land of Opportunity”

When we were lead to purchase the house we knew it made no sense as ‘a financial investment’, it was such an oddity in this neighborhood. We knew however, that was not the point. It was meant to be ‘a facility’ where we could manifest Kingdom Living.
Hence the title for today’s blog, HOUSEKEEPING, as we share with you what it will take to KEEP the HOUSE functioning as that ‘facility’ for doing our ‘Father’s business‘ in and from this ‘HOME’
