When we were starting our family, we found James Dobson’s books and his “Focus on the Family” was a great resource.
A few days ago Focus on the Family had it’s Twitter account locked…… for suggesting boys and girls are different. Imagine that!
Among other things, Dobson advised us on how to, “Win the War on Whining”
(Personally, I enlisted the little parrot above to help. He emigrated with us to the USA and is now our grandkids friend, still singing (even with one eye!) the same song I taught him all those years ago, highlighting the scripture, “Do everything without complaining or arguing so that you will be blameless and pure, children of God in the midst of a a crooked and perverse generation among whom you SHINE as lights in the world.” (Phil.2:14,15))
……….so I won’t complain about these dark developments moving us toward a Totalitarian nightmare, nor argue with the Sovereign Lord about the perfect timing of his deliverance!

……..rather we will embrace the truth, “He will keep you in PERFECT PEACE whose mind is stayed on you, because he TRUSTS in you.” (Is.26:3)
So as we repeatedly focus our minds and still our hearts, we simply take the next responsible step to SHINE
………. as we, ‘Love the next person’ our Father sets in front of us!
That is why as I said in the last blog we are excited to begin our new As Partners Together group this Sunday for young married or soon to be married couples, and to announce the upcoming FREEDOM! retreat to facilitate families who want to live, ‘Happily Ever After‘ …..the way God intends, and gives grace for us so to do.
At the FREEDOM! weekend, (April 23rd 24th) we will be taking our cue from the honest, rational, courageous and increasingly censored scientists I have frequently referenced, not from the diabolically false, fear and shame based, Mainstream propaganda.
We will therefore not be requiring masks. (Though people will be free to wear them if they so desire)
There will instead be plenty of healing hugs and smiles, songs and laughter, and probably a few tears, as we dismiss the legion of dark influences that have wormed their way into our lives, and as we are restored more fully to the glorious FREEDOM! wherewith Jesus Christ, the Deliverer has set us free!
Sound like heaven? Add in Lois’ cooking…….It will be!

The Blessed Hope of 222
A few weeks ago for three nights in a row I woke at 2.22.
I asked the Lord about the meaning of this and he reminded me of….
2 EMAILS I had just sent!
The first was a Kyle Family 2020 Update. I began it by saying, “Here are a few Kyle family highlights from 2020. As I wrote I realized the theme in the midst of the ‘dying’ has in fact been – NEW CREATION!”

The second email was to the little Coming King Fellowship that has been meeting in our home for several months on Sunday evenings. I was writing to let folk know we had been lead to bring a season of ‘open meetings’ to a close. The scripture I quoted was, “Unless a grain of wheat fall into the earth and die it remains alone……” I then wrote, “We believe it’s time for the meetings as they have been to ‘die’ in order that something new can be born.“
“Experiencing DEATH is a necessary prerequisite to experiencing RESURRECTION!
Subsequently we sensed 2 expressions of Resurrection Life springing up!
1. An APT group.
We recently met with a young couple who had asked us to conduct their wedding. It was clear to us, that they wanted much more than someone to perform a perfunctory ceremony. They had a passion to have their marriage and family be all God intended it should be!
I recalled when we first came to the US people would often ask, “So what is your ministry?” We hadn’t thought in such ‘functional’ terms in Ireland so I phoned a friend who had lived with us in their early years of marriage and asked him, “What would you say our ministry was? ” he answered, “You are your ministry! It’s who you and Hilary are in your marriage relationship together, and the life that flows through your family.”
In Ireland we pioneered an APT group, “As Partners Together (in the gospel)” (Phil 1.:5). Next Sunday a new APT group will be springing up into life with this pair and 5 other’ like minded’ couples, ‘hand picked’ by our Father who want to see God’s vision for their marriages blossom!
2. A FREEDOM! retreat.
A few blogs ago I gave the testimony of a lady who described herself as ‘a new person’ after we had prayed with her using the Unbound model which we teach at the FREEDOM! retreats.
A new team of ‘buds’ are sprouting as we prepare together as a prayer team for a FREEDOM! retreat this spring!

….So for the last few weeks I have been wondering, “ What the third 2?”
Yesterday morning it started to become clear!!
There at the bottom of the stairs there was the sight we had been anticipating for some weeks…….
Our beloved cat Izzy, lay dead.
Over 17 years our beloved Maine Coon had wound her way endearingly into the hearts of all the Kyle family and reassuringly around the legs of many who came to the house for help.
In recent years she and Gilbert became particularly close……
We realized now why Gilbert, who hadn’t been able to ‘get away’ somewhere for his first vacation in years, had ended up spending the last two weeks ‘at home’ On the last day of his vacation, spent bringing comfort to ailing Izzy, she bade him ‘Farewell’
Then last night at the FREEDOM! team gathering, we got an ’emergency’ call from Raine’s brother. There had been an accident! Raine, and daughter Mni’s beloved dog “Henri” had been hit by a snow plough, and fatally wounded!
As we with sadness processed this double death together we quickly saw our Dad’s hand in weaving the details of our lives together.
The time had come for both of our pets to leave us.
Even in the numbers there was ‘wink.’ from heaven. Henri had arrived 12/12 and now both had departed on 2/21/21…..Put together it was another palindrom!

It was as if the two walked off ‘paw in paw’ into the sunset together!
While tears were shed as we grieved together, we knew the hope, even for these critters, of the words from Corinthians concerning the resurrection that were being spoken out from Hilary’s Bible app when I went up to break the news to her.
“Death is swallowed up in Victory.” (1 Cor.15:54)
Izzy had been 17 years = Victory. Henri had been 8 years = Resurrection
The number 222 is the gematria for ‘Bless’ and for ‘Firstborn.’
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who has BLESSED US IN CHRIST with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places.”(Eph.1:2)
“And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, THE FIRSTBORN FROM THE DEAD; that in all things he might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile ALL things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven”. (Col.1:18-20)
I reckon that “ALL” includes his animals?

GODSELECTION. F+5. Up in the Air…..But in a Safe Pair of Hands
This week we got word from the USCIS that we had moved up the queue (I mean ‘line’….gosh we are still Brits at core!) to become US citizens.
I blogged last May about how this process began with our having to answer some questions that seemed ironic given what had begun to happen in the US because of Covid19. As I checked some of the civics questions we must now answer I again began to chuckle in the light of the recent election.
Q1. How old do the citizens have to be to vote for President?
Answer. Does it not now appear that there is no minimum age, in fact you can have your vote counted even if you are not a citizen or are long dead?
The latest Time magazine ran a brazen article that could have accurately been entitled, “Yes! Here’s Exactly How We Did Cheat!” The link below describes some of the other bizarre things that occurred at the election…..
Q2. What is the name of the President of the United States?
Answer. If “Impeachment” is reserved for ‘a sitting President’ are the events of the last few days a fulfillment of the South African prophet Kim Clement’s prophecy back in 2007, “I see Two Presidents”?
Q3. What is one right from the first Amendment?
Answer. They seem to all have disappeared like the videos I have posted over the years that have been taken down. There is no longer ‘freedom of speech’ if your speech does not conform to the single approved Mainstream narrative. (If this is the last blog you receive, you’ll know I’ve just been censored for even suggesting there may have been election irregularities or for writing Q before each of my questions! : – )
It could all get quite depressing!
So I wondered….. “Maybe we should be applying instead (quite legally) for our Irish passports?” (At one time we had actually wondered if the Lord wanted us move back to ‘The South’)

At our Men’s Group a few days ago (which we have always kept ‘real’ never ‘virtual’, ending with our ‘heart to heart’ hug) I employed the SASHET approach to get us going. ‘The emotions are the window to the soul’, so the question posed to each one was…
“How are you feeling?… Sad, Angry, Scared, Happy, Excited or Tender?”
When it came my turn, I realized my truthful answer was “All of the above”
Being honest in my ‘soul’ as I look out over the injustice, suffering and intimidation abroad in today’s world, how can we but feel anger, sadness and fear!
However when we ‘drop down’ from our soul to our spirit, and allow God’s promises to be the reality we choose to live from, then by FAITH, the same faith that Dave Cullen re-discovered, our emotions can be transformed into happy, excited and tender as we enjoy the Spirit’s fruit of joy, hope and peace.
FAITH comes from ‘hearing the word of God’ (Rm.10:17) and to keep our ‘tank full’ Hilary and I listen to several chapters of scripture first thing in the morning and always read a Psalm together. I have also been following the joy, hope and peace filled ‘in depth’ Isaiah study at Godskingdom.org
…and so we can join again wholeheartedly with our friend Barry Maguire as he taught us to sing….
“It’s a Happy day and I praise God for the weather (even -30C.)
It’s a Happy day, and I’m living it for my Lord
It’s a Happy day, and things are gonna get better.
‘Cause I’m living’ each day by the promises in God’s word”
So while many things still seem ‘Up in the Air‘ the message from the last blog holds true – by FAITH we know that ALL things are in ‘A Safe Pair of Hands”

GODSELECTION. F+3. A Time for Faith and Courage!
When Hilary and I emigrated to the USA 27 years ago with our 7 children, no job, and into a house we had bought without seeing, it was ‘a leap of faith’. That is no credit to us, as the ‘faith’ by grace, comes with the call.
Every Sunday for 5 years we then shared that ‘faith’ at Saint Brendan’s Launch, through the medium of our Irish culture with the wonderful variety of people God brought from all over the world through the doors of Kieran’s Irish Pub in Downtown Minneapolis!
We had a special kinship with the Irish saint (nicknamed ‘The Navigator’) whom we named the event after, and who courageously set sail from the west coast of Ireland 1500 years previously, in his little leather hulled, wood framed coracle on a ‘wild goose’ adventure, trusting God would use the winds and the waves to get him to the desired destination. It was a pilgrimage to discover ‘a world beyond’ that which he had known in his native Ireland.
One of my Irish readers, who happens to also be called Brendan, carries that same spirit, and he frequently sends me links he has found in a search for truth, a quest to discover, “What is really going on?”
Here are two he recently sent me. The first I would entitle, “The Good News About Covid 19″ (You have to listen to the end to get the Really Good News.)
This ‘Merrititious’ perspective helped me with some of my questions about “What is really going on?”
Why did WHO change the definition of ‘pandemic’ just before Covid surfaced, facilitating this current panic – demic about an illness with a mortality similar to the seasonal flu (CDC figures) creating fear that will likely generate more deaths than ‘the virus’ ?
Why has ‘conventional’ management of a ‘pandemic’ changed overnight from the tried and tested centuries long approach of quarantining sick people to the Chinese Communist Party approach of putting a healthy population under house arrest?
Why do authorities continue to ignore over 30 scientific studies proving the ineffectiveness of such ‘lockdowns’ which have caused untold hardship and suffering for millions of people?
Why has WHO now also changed the definition of ‘herd immunity’ to exclude ‘naturally acquired’ immunity to something that can only be achieved using a vaccine?
Why an hour after Biden was ‘inaugurated’ did WHO change the PCR testing criteria reducing ‘case’ numbers, and governors in New York and California began to ‘open up’ again?
……and Why the name ‘Covid 19‘? Could this be revealing a ‘dark’ agenda?

Faith is the foolproof antidote to fear, as we trust that God who is LOVE, is also ‘All Seeing’ ‘All Knowing’ and Sovereign over ALL things that he is working together for good! (Rm.8:28)

Faith and Hearing
To write nineteen in Hebrew, they wrote two Hebrew letters: yod-teth. These signify the hand (outworking) of the serpent (wisdom). This can, of course, be seen in a negative sense, for the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. But when viewed in the positive sense, we see Jesus Christ as the Serpent on the pole in the wilderness, picturing Jesus Christ on the Cross, as Jesus in John 12:32, 33,
32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to Myself. 33 But He was saying this to indicate the kind of death by which He was to die.
The number 19 in Hebrew was meant to illustrate the fact that one must have faith in Christ and His cross, where He died as the Serpent on the pole. Those who listen to Moses and look upon Him (Num. 21:9) are those who hear and who have faith.
The number 19 includes two things: faith and hearing. Though we have said little up to now about the Hebrew letters themselves, it would be helpful to do so now. The 19th letter of the Hebrew alphabet is the kof, which literally means “the back of the head.” The word picture has to do with hearing God’s voice in “the back of your head (mind).” The Hebrew word for “voice” is kol, which begins with the kof. When God spoke to Elijah, it was not through the tempest, the earthquake, or the fire, but the “ still small voice ” (1 Kings 19:11, 12). Jewish author, Lawrence Kushner, says in his Book of Letters, p. 68, 69,
“Kof is one of the letters made by two marks. Hay is the other. The lower mark of the kof is man calling G-d. But G-d also calls man. With the upper mark of the kof He whispers very softly to see if you are really listening. kol d’mama daka. A voice which is still and small. A little girl. The daughter of a voice, God’s voice, bat kol. Like an echo. Always listen.
“Such is kof. The voice by which man allows G-d to be present by calling: Holy (Kadosh).”
It is significant that this Hebrew letter is in two parts. The first pictures God reaching down to man by speaking to him; the second pictures man responding to God by faith. This is the force behind the number 19. It has two parts to it: God’s voice and faith. Hence, it requires God to make a declaration before man can respond to His voice.
There are 19 people of faith in the great faith chapter, Hebrews 11. It begins in verse 3 with “ By faith we …” Verse 4 says, “ By faith Abel …” Verse 5 says, “ By faith Enoch …” The 19th one listed is in verse 32, “ By faith the prophets …” All of them heard the voice of God, and this produced faith in them, by which they preached the Word and even suffered for it at the hands of those who could not hear.
In Paul’s great discussion of justification by faith from Romans 3:21 to 5:2, he uses the word “faith” nineteen times, and then the word is not used again until Romans 9:30. Paul also says in Eph. 2:8,
8 For by grace [5] you have been saved [14] through faith [19]; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God.
Five plus fourteen equals nineteen. Faith is a gift from God, because it depends totally upon God speaking first. One cannot hear God until God speaks and He opens our ears to hear. We love Him because He first loved us (1 John 4:19). In Jer. 31:18 (KJV) the prophet prays, “ Turn Thou me, and I shall be turned, for Thou art the Lord my God.” We can only respond to God when He takes the first step.
The salvation of Noah and his family came by faith as well, after they had heard. They believed what they heard. That is why they entered the ark and were saved through the flood. Thus, the 19th time Noah is mentioned is in Gen. 7:13,
13 On the very same day Noah and Shem and Ham and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah’s wife and the three wives of his sons with them , entered the ark.
The 19th time Abram is mentioned is in Gen. 13:1, where he leaves Egypt and returns to Canaan. This is a prophetic picture of salvation after learning a lesson in faith. He went into Egypt having very little faith, and for this reason he allowed Sarah to be taken by Pharaoh, being too afraid to tell people that she was his wife. He left Egypt with a lot more faith in God’s ability to protect him than when he went to Egypt earlier.
The 19th time Isaac is mentioned is in Gen. 24:66,
66 And the servant [Eliezer] told Isaac all the things that he had done.
As we said earlier, Eliezer means “God of help,” and he pictures the Holy Spirit, the Helper, or Comforter, an advocate or helper in a court of law. Faith comes by hearing the Spirit of God. So this is a picture of the Holy Spirit speaking to Isaac, giving him understanding concerning the Bride that he has found for him.
The 19th time that Paul is mentioned is in Acts 15:36,
36 And after some days Paul said to Barnabas, “Let us return and visit the brethren in every city in which we proclaimed the word of the Lord, and see how they are.”
Take note that once again, the number 19 is associated with the preaching of the word and the faith-response to that word. Paul wanted to return to these cities and see if their preaching had produced any lasting faith.

GODSELECTION F+2 Jericho Must Fall.
A ‘Golden oldie’ has been playing in my head recently

Last week an army of 16 (LOVE) friends lifted high their banners as they travelled to Washington DC to prayer march around the Capitol. Brian reported one of the songs they had sung was,
“Lord Jesus we enthrone you
We proclaim you are King…… of DC”

Last week some folk at Gods Kingdom Ministries were also lead to do a ”Jericho March.” Another friend, James Bruggerman, reported on his blog the significance of the concurrent ‘fall’ of WALL Street.

I recalled how on another assignment several years ago, Brian and I had stood together at the WALL of the Forbidden City in Beijing, CHINA and sang there with our divinely orchestrated little choir,
“Lord Jesus we enthrone you
We proclaim you are king…….. of China.”
Subsequently Father revealed to me quite miraculously, how those prayers had already been effective retrospectively, with the destruction of a previous evil Chinese empire thousands of years ago, and would contribute again, with the prayers of ‘all the saints’ past and present, to the inevitable destruction of the modern day worldwide, ”Mystery Babylon” or “Jericho” empire.
“For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to DESTROY STRONGHOLDS.” (2 Cor. 10:4)
I rose to write down the above thoughts when they came to me last night. I returned to bed, but I was later wakened once more. The clock read,

I was directed to Is. 45:1 It reads, “This is what the LORD says to his ANOINTED, to Cyrus, whose right hand I take hold of to subdue nations before him and to strip kings of their armor, to open doors before him so that gates will not be shut.”
Father began connecting some dots as I recalled,
………..that we had just been given a gift of “Kyrios” coffee. The Greek word for LORD, ‘kyrios’ is closely associated with the name Cyrus.
…..and that the lyrics went,
“Sound the TRUMP – ets of war‘
‘CHRIST’ has gotten us the victory! Hallelujah!’
CHRIST means ‘anointed one’
CHRIST was President TRUMP’s mother’s and grandfather’s names! They were from the Scottish Hebrides.
……and that the giver had commented,“This coffee is wild!”
Trump has been described as “A wild Celt!’
…….and that in “God’s Chaos Candidate” Lance Wallnau likens Trump to Cyrus.
Is it not puzzling that someone who presided over the most prosperous domestic and most peaceful international 4 years in recent US history failed to gain reelection?
I’ll end with, a quote attributed to George Orwell,
“People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.”
Trump’s style may be offensive to some, but is that not a small price to pay for his waging war against a profound and widespread corruption?

Brian who I have talked about in this blog, and whose photo is at the top, just posted his blog……with the same opening photo! I would encourage you to read it. It is an excellent piece from a USA born citizen, complementing mine as an immigrant, the blogs also coming from two different ‘gift set’ perspectives.
GODSELECTION. Final + 1. Three High-LIGHTS from 12121.
On the January 6th blog, I was lead to write,
“Maybe we’ll understand more by January 21st?”
I was alerted just today to the fact that January 21st, 12121, was a palindrome date, and apparently there won’t be another for 1000 years!”
Here are three things God High-LIGHT-ed to me, from our lived 12121 experience.
1. ON 12121
A first song was released by our first born son, Robin, from his album, called “The City of Light” (Link above)
Several years ago I was on a flight from MSP to O’Hare. We rarely watch movies at home, so I often use flights to ‘catch up’ on what is currently showing……or rather ‘being shown’ – as ‘everything prophecies.’
On this occasion I found myself watching, “The Hunger Games.”
On the screen in front of me was pictured a skyline of a derelict apocalyptic city where the drama was set, at some point in the future.
As our plane banked to prepare for landing, I looked up and glanced out the window. There in front of me, in real life, was the same skyline, that I had just been looking at, on the screen – it was Chicago!!!
I tucked this ‘God incidence’ away in my memory.
2. ON 12121
I saw this ‘Not a coincidence‘ image, and God brought back my Chicago memory!
The Hunger Games reflects a future world where power and control rest with a cruel, elite, oligarchy who are entertained by a ‘game’ where the ‘hungry’ commoners are pitted against one another in a struggle to survive.
The picture on the left is of one of these ‘elite’. The picture on the right is of Lady Gaga as she was dressed to sing “The Star Spangled Banner” at the ‘inauguration’ on the 20th.
Robin’s song begins.
“I’ll give you the cash….then I’ll send you the bill.”
This I took as a poetically cryptic summary of the world we are fast being ushered into
….the illusion of a Communist utopia…in reality a Totalitarian dystopia.
…..so, was Lady Gaga mocking the common people, who are ‘being played’?
In my last two blogs I was lead to reference Juan O Savin who in an interview subsequent to “The Called – Makings of a Perfect Day” said not to be surprised if Joe Biden was inaugurated.
He then talked about how people who have a had a ‘near death experience’ have returned from heaven (or hell!) AWAKENED to reality! He then spoke about America going through a ‘near death’ experience.
Another line from Robin’s song that was highlighted to me was
“You have to be attached before the cross comes down”
This spoke to me of how we have to be willing to be identified with Christ in his suffering and death before we can participate in his resurrection life.
This song arises out of Robin’s painful but transformative ‘near death experience’ over the last several years. This can apply at a personal and a corporate level
The song then ends full of HOPE!
“And we’re not going to wake up until we get our three day rest
……..it’s only GRACE that’s left.”
3. ON 12121
We received that morning a text from a lady we had prayed for the night before.
“Words cannot express how grateful I am for you two. I woke up feeling like a completely different person. Even this morning , how I viewed things that I would normally experience through a rejected spirit is gone. I felt like a complete miracle has taken place in so many ways.”
Robin sings, “It’s gonna make you spin….the world that you once knew…..renewed and born again.”
On January 6th I blogged

“The City of Light” was a visionary statement made by the Founding Fathers describing the destiny of the USA.
As we embrace personally and corporately the discipline of the Father who delights in us, and journey through the ‘dark night of the soul‘ toward “The City of Light” we know we need ‘fear no evil….. for you are with me.‘(Ps.23)
Then when we finally ‘turn around and reflect‘ we will be amazed at the ‘beauty and bounty‘ that has followed us each and every day of our lives….and has brought us to ‘dwell in the house of the Lord’…..with our Father, ‘forever’.
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.”

“The Storm of the Lord” may still be upon us.

GODSELECTION. Final(?) Beholding the Beauty
One of the joys of having our, just turned two year old, grandson, Luke with us, for three weeks over Christmas, was to see and hear how he is growing and developing day by day.
One morning his mum told me smiling, “He woke up today singing, ‘Oh what a beautiful morning! Oh what a beautiful day!'”
I chuckled that he had picked up so quickly one of my favorite morning songs : – )
I go on to adapt the old “Oklahoma” hit with,
“I’ve got a wonderful feeling!……. everything’s going HIS way!”
I have received a lot more varied responses and emotions from folk over the last few weeks. I suppose I invited it : – ) From people enthusiastically affirming and sharing other links which offer a similar perspective, to others who are seeing and feeling things very differently. As I said, all are equally appreciated.
As I was asking the Lord further about this he whispered to me “You are a watchman on the tower.’ He subsequently confirmed it when our son Robin presented me with a CD of the old Bob Dylan classic, John Wesley Harding.” – a very prophetic album for these days!
I still remember as an avid Dylan fan my excitement as a teenager acquiring a vinyl copy when it was first released and eagerly consuming every song as it played on our old ‘record player.’
That inimitable guttural rendering of
“All along the Watchtower……….” came booming back into my consciousness.
As I have over the years sought to describe to you the scene as I survey it from that watchtower where I have been stationed, it is inevitable some will see some version of what I see and others will not.
On the one hand I am raising the alarm that I see an enemy not just at the gates but in midst of the city! On the other hand as I have said before I have never known as much peace or joy in my life for as the song says,
……. everything’s going His way.
In the midst of “the Storm of the Lord” we need to learn to ‘Behold the Beauty‘
Beholding the Beauty of the past as Psalm 23 states……”surely Beauty and Bounty will follow me all the days of my life.” (M.V.) As I’ve said before unless we make regular habit of pausing to ‘turn around and reflect’ as God points out to us his faithful care and workings in the past, we will miss the opportunity to have our hearts swell with gratitude! As the old hymn says.
Praise to the Lord who o’er all things so wondrously reigneth
Shieldeth thee gently from harm or when fainting sustaineth
Hast thou not seen how thy hearts wishes have been
Granted in what he ordaineth. Granted in what he ordaineth.
Beholding the Beauty in the present again requires that we ‘slow down to look’ (even take a photo of) the people, things and events that are right in front of us…. that painting that has hung on the wall unnoticed for ever, to ‘smell the roses’ ….or in my case as I type this, to pause and let my eyes feast on the snow flakes falling ever so gently (just like our good and gentle shepherd)
Beholding the Beauty in the future is another word for ‘faith’, as we ‘drop down to imagine’ what that ‘future full of hope’ (Jer.29.11 M.V.) is going to look like because we know ‘the Sovereign Lord” and are confident as I’ve often sung before, “All Will Be Well.” ….in fact “All is now well” because we are precisely where we are meant to be on this journey that has been charted out in Christ for us and for all humanity from before the foundation of the earth. (Eph.1:4, Rev.13:8)
One thing I ask from the Lord,
this only do I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
ALL THE DAYS of my life,
to gaze on the BEAUTY of the Lord
and to seek him in his temple. (Ps.27:4)
As we dwell in ‘the secret place of the most high‘ gazing on his beauty, we need not fear, no matter what happens in this coming week, because we are beholding that ‘perfect love’ that casts out all fear. (Ps.91, 1 Jn.4:18)
For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control]. (2.Tim.1:7 Amp.)
P.S. Again to say, I post what I am lead to post, and as I was working on the blog about BEAUTY I was listening at the same time to a follow up interview with Juan O Savin featured on The Called – Makings of a Perfect Day. He was describing how one thing Artificial Intelligence cannot do that humans can…. is see BEAUTY!
As I concluded writing the blog, and then listened to the rest of the interview, I realized Juan and I had landed in the same place!
Don’t be afraid!………..Trust in the Sovereign Lord!

Turn off the TV…….Take a few deep breaths, and….. Behold the Beauty!

GODSELECTION P.S. Perfect Day
Well I thought the GODSELECTION series had ended with Part 17, but the other night I woke, and the Holy Spirit began making some connections!
On the January 1st post I wrote,
“gloriously manifested, on that perfect day!”
Then on the January 6th post I wrote,
“I was convicted that even though this was correcting a minor detail in the blog, the ‘little things’ are important as we move toward that ‘perfect day’
A movie was subsequently brought to my attention called, “The Called – Makings of a Perfect Day.” It was posted on YouTube on 9th January.
It gives the alternative view of one person to the prevailing narrative about America and recent events.
It features an enigmatic figure called Juan O Savin, and is woven throughout with references and messages.
I sensed because of the ‘Perfect Day‘ connection I was meant to post a link to it on the blog.
Another phrase I also used in a recent blog was,
“TIME WILL TELL”
Again, toward the end of the movie Juan says the same!
When these thoughts occurred to me I turned to jot them down, and noticed the time was 211 representing the 21st of January.
The film also ends…. in the future after the caption Two Weeks Later – i.e. after the events at the Capitol on 6th January
I would encourage you to watch it right to the end.
Maybe by 21st January we will all understand more?
GODSELECTION. Part 17. The Icing on the Cake.
After extolling the virtues of Hilary’s Christmas pudding and talking about the cherry on top of the cupcake, I have been given another gourmet title for this blog in, ‘The Icing on the Cake‘
In Part 8 of this series I talked about how early on the Saturday after the election, Father said to me I should do a ‘Victory Lap‘ – a 25 mile cycle circle around the beautiful ‘tree’ lined, City of Lakes.
The blog was titled, “Choose your Trust’ and pointed to how scripture enjoins us not to trust in any man but to trust in God alone. As I joined with the creation singing my praise around the Twin Cities, it was to rejoice in God’s Victory, secured long ago.
When I arrived home that afternoon I witnessed the dead tree in the yard of the neighbor who had for a few years brought a dark cloud to the neighborhood, being taken out.
It seemed to me a ‘Victory‘ sign of life winning over death, and with the tree not ‘falling down’ – but UP!…. to represent an inflection point at this time as good triumphs over evil.
(Did you notice? The only word I picked out clearly in the recording was, “butterfly”)
Well yesterday, once again completely outside of our control, it came time for another dead tree…..one in the other next door neighbor’s yard! – to be removed! The bookend of a ‘double DEAD TREE witness’
Interestingly yesterday (when the electoral college was due to meet) was the feast of the Kings, Epiphany, and today is Christmas Day in the Orthodox calendar!
“The Icing on the Cake” title refers to our grandson Luke (LIGHT). Yesterday was his last day with us before flying back to Belfast with mummy and daddy. What a treat his heavenly Father laid on for him!
Trees in scripture represent men, and I believe these dead trees represented the ‘wicked’
“See, the STORM of the LORD will burst out in wrath, a driving wind swirling down on the heads of the wicked. The fierce anger of the LORD will not turn back until he fully accomplishes the purposes of his heart. In the days to come you will understand this.”
I believe the significance of how this tree was dismantled branch by branch and section by section speaks of how the STORM of the LORD will not happen all at once, but will continue to be a step by step process…….until God “fully accomplishes the purposes of his heart.”
Psalm 2 continues (from last week’s blog)……….
“He rebukes them in his anger and terrifies them in his wrath, saying,
“I have installed my king on Zion, my holy mountain.”
I will proclaim the LORD’s decree: He said to me, “You are my son; today I have become your father.
Ask me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession.
You will break them with a rod of iron; you will dash them to pieces like pottery.”
Authority is being transferred to ‘the saints of the Most High’ (Dan. 7:18) …….so let us then indeed, in these days of the STORM of the LORD….. with a kiss of loving submission to our King, celebrate with fear!
“Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth.
Serve the LORD with fear and celebrate his rule with trembling.
Kiss his son, or he will be angry and your way will lead to your destruction, for his wrath can flare up in a moment.
Blessed are all who take refuge in him.”
Let Nana have the last word.……
The chipper’ of those dead trees reminds us of how the wicked steward who proved unfaithful was ‘cut in sunder’ (Lk.12:47) According to the law however that cutting had a limit (Deut.25:3) for God’s “Mercy TRIUMPHS over judgment.” (James.3:13)
Once again I notice I am given this message about the Triumph of the Lord as Part 17...the number of Victory!
With both of these dead trees having been taken out, the result for us is increased LIGHT!
May we all experience in 2021 increased LIGHT, as with awed excitement and joy we join with little LUKE witnessing to the ‘cutting’ and ‘the chipper‘ and the ‘BUMP!’ of ‘evil’
…….and the TRIUMPH of ‘good’
