So which one would you trust to help you improve your health, the current US secretary for Health and Human Services or the president elect’s nominee……before or after Trump?
It appears we truly are facing into a second American Revolution.
Make America Healthy Again is one aspect of this revolution.
With the remarkable team Trump is assembling the pole is no longer about right or left but about up or down as in ‘which wisdom are you drawing on, the wisdom from above or the wisdom from below?
‘“……..But the wisdom from above is always pure, filled with peace, considerate and teachable. It is filled with love and never displays prejudice or hypocrisy in any form and it always bears the beautiful harvest of righteousness! Good seeds of wisdom’s fruit will be planted with peaceful acts by those who cherish making peace.”
James (Jacob) 3:13-18 TPT
As I watch (antiwar) Kennedy work out I’m reminded of the passage in Hebrews that speaks of the peaceable fruit of righteousness. that is the result of godly training that may be painful for the moment.
This video caught my attention personally because like Bobby Kennedy** I too am 71 years old and like him pull-ups are one of the ways I keep my self healthy.
At 71 I can still run 100 meters in 17 seconds. That’s another sort of Victory (17) Lap🙂
I can do 40 push ups and 10 pull ups at a time and dead hang for 90 seconds. I haven’t been to an allopathic doctor (trained like I was) in probably about 20 years, and I can’t remember the last time I took a pharmaceutical drug.
I’m not saying all this to boast, but in Thanksgiving to God who has given me this gift of health.
As the ‘Victory Lap’ story about the 10 lepers in Luke 17 illustrates, ‘sozo’ healing goes beyond physical healing to a healing of ‘spirit, soul and body’.
Our Your Smiling Face retreat is built on the foundation of 1 Thessalonians. 5:23,24…..
‘Now may the God of peace sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept sound at the coming of the Lord. The one who has called you is faithful. If he said it, he will do it!’
This ‘wholistic’ health is also illustrated in Bobby Kennedy’a personal story as his journey into health involved a journey out of addiction and into a personal relationship with God.
It occurred to me that my readers might be interested in my blogging on this more personal ‘pastoral’ note by sharing some of the practical things Hilary and I have learned about caring for the ‘temple of the Holy Spirit.’
If that would be of interest to you.….please let me know
Thankful for your journeying with us over these many years.

** If you have imbibed what Russell Brand calls the ‘ambience of disdain’ created by the corrupt corporate machine around Bobby Kennedy here is a a piece of ‘wisdom from above’ from Russell….
