On Friday 5th April we met with the Y.S.F. (Your Smiling Face) team here in Belfast.
At the end we spontaneously launched into a raucously anointed rendering of Gerry and the Pacemakers classic song, ‘You’ll never walk alone.” forever known as the anthem of Liverpool football team supporters.
That would include our ‘football crazy’ grandkids……..Stateside that is, our Irish grandsons are as fanatical in their support of Liverpool’s arch rivals, Manchester United, which is a set up for quare transatlantic banter!
The words of the song are…
‘When you walk through the storm, hold your head up high
And don’t be afraid of the dark.
At the end of the storm there’s a golden dawn
And the sweet, silver song of the lark.
Walk on through the wind. Walk on through the rain
Though your dreams be tossed and torn.
Walk on. Walk on. With hope in your heart
And you’ll never walk alone.
You ‘ll never walk alone.’
On Saturday 6th we had planned to drive to Ederney, County Fermanagh to visit our friends Paddy and Breda. They had released us from the commitment because of the hazardous driving conditions that were forecast with the arrival that day of Storm Kathleen.
Usually storms are given English name. Kathleen is Irish. It means PURITY.
…….But we as the song says, we drove on drove on through the wind and the rain, fierce and torrential as they were.
The storm continued through Sunday 7th.
This proved to be the date when all of our grandsons, Irish and American, were excitedly engaged….for Liverpool where playing Manchester United.
The result?
Liverpool 2:2 Man.Utd
The next morning I went for a cycle with my brother John and friend Sammy. They just happened to be last year’s High Sheriff and this year’s High Sheriff of Belfast. Both are actively committed to community reconciliation.
‘Sammy’ John said, ‘ Who won between the Glens and the Blues yesterday?’
‘Nil all draw’ Sammy replied.
‘What about Rangers and Celtic?’
‘Rangers 3:3 Celtic’. Came the reply.
It dawned on me that these three sets of arch rivals in the three countries, England, Northern Ireland and Scotland
**These represent the British Isles. The name Britain is said to be derived from the Hebrew, ‘sons of the covenant’
The line came to me, from In My Father’s House,
‘In my Father’s house rivals long forgotten,’
This speaks of UNITY
God’s promise is that in the midst of the storm we will know we are not walking alone but will experience God’s presence as never before.
That is INTIMACY.
The next day, Monday 8th, was the day of the eclipse over America, of which I wrote previously.
As it passed through or near several American Ninevehs, it signaled ‘the sign of Jonah’ That story ended well with God’s heart of mercy being revealed and the entire city of Nineveh being converted!
Then combining it with the path of the other recent eclipses, the Alef Tav inscribed over America signaled the author’s signature in Genesis 1:1, the one who knows the end from the beginning!
I realized that just as there was a message in the eclipse for America the next day, there was a message in the storm that we had just experienced hitting Ireland.
The purpose of the storm God is sending is to bring his people into PURITY, UNITY and INTIMACY
Johnny Enlow’s latest message on Unfiltered Episode 101 is about ‘the mountain of the Lord’ appearing on earth. Here is the link…..

It is the purity, unity and intimacy of the Bride of Christ that is echoed in the song ‘In My Father’s House’. It concludes….
In my Father’s house we’ll be built together
In my Father’s house all men shall be free
In my Father’s house no more pain or crying
Peace will come at last and true unity.
Come then let us go to his holy mountain
Walking in the light of his glorious son.
There we’ll learn the ways of his ageless kingdom
Flowing to earth’s end and to heaven begun.’
The path of totality in the American eclipse sign was 67 miles wide. This points to Psalm 67 which is God’s promise not just to Ireland or America but to all nations……that they will know and worship him.
‘The harvest of the earth is here! God, the very God we worship, keeps us satisfied at his banquet of blessings.
And the blessings keep coming!
All the ends of the earth will give him the honor he deserves and be in awe of him!”
