Last week I received a request from a friend whose father had just died. He wanted permission to use The Flame song and painting, at the Service of Thanksgiving for his father’s life and legacy. I replied it would be an honor to be able to participate in this way at Sam’s funeral.

We were surprised at the news, for we had met Sam when we first moved to the USA 26 years ago. At that time this godly man of prayer was on the outside severely handicapped from MS, yet inwardly radiant with ‘The Flame‘ of love and faith that has now been faithfully passed on to the next generations. We thought at the time his days were numbered. I guess they were….a few more than we thought!

A few weeks ago I told the incredible story of how I believe we are finding ourselves, in these thrilling days, caught up in the fulfillment of St. Patrick’s ancient prophecy!    

A number of years ago we were lead to New England and shown how the vision St.Patrick had received for Ireland, of ‘The Flame’ of God being rekindled in the north, also applied to America. I subsequently discovered Patrick’s vision corresponded to a vision George Washington had for the USA ….that in a time of darkness, a light would appear again, in the north.  

I connected this to what had just happened in the sleepy little town of Great Barrington we know well, where our friends and their little flock have faithfully and courageously ‘stood in the gap’ interceding for that region and this nation for decades and from which, just a few weeks ago, there was issued a “Great Barrington Declaration”

I am happy to report that this ‘Flame’ of truth and love is also burning brighter, and has even spread to THE WHITE HOUSE, and is the official policy of the current administration!

Sarah Huckabee Sanders describes how as press secretary to the President she experienced the MEANNESS of the Harfung Media. and how the effect this had was to cause her to become more clear about her IDENTITY.

The interview lead me in turn to discover a story I had missed, about another modern day “Abigail” in the form of the last Supreme Court appointee, Brett Kavanagh’s 10 year old daughter Liz……. and how in the midst of a MEan spirited Senate hearing, her response was to intercede for her father’s accuser! 

Such MEEKNESS (not weakness, but strength under the control of the Holy Spirit) and such MERCY (not leniency, but the kind spirit in which justice should be administered) represent our true IDENTITY – the “ME in Christ” in contrast to the MEANNESS that represents our old IDENTITY the “ME in Adam” Every moment in life we are given the opportunity to choose which of the MEs we align ourselves with.

Yesterday Amy Coney Barrett was sworn in as the next Supreme Court Judge. Please listen below to Laura Wolk’s inspiring testimony given at the Senate hearing, about which ME, Amy has chosen for in her life, up until now.

If she continues to choose out of this IDENTITY in her new capacity as Supreme Court Judge it will be a major step in the coming of God’s kingdom in America and an answer to many prayers going all the way back to the Pilgrim Fathers and beyond to those indigenous Fathers of integrity and humility who were stewards of this land, before we newcomers arrived.

May our intercession continue for all those who still believe themselves to be VICTIMS, that they may know their true IDENTITY as VICTORS, like Laura (‘lady of victory’) – in the ONE who became THE victim for THE WHOLE WORLD.

P.S. After inviting further ‘correction’ at the end of the last blog, Hilary and I were delighted to receive instead some very affirming and encouraging messages. I have asked Father to give me ‘just ‘one’ confirmation after each blog to indicate I am meant to continue. This time it was a ‘fivefold’ ministry and such a joy to reconnect with some of you we had not heard from in years!

Isn’t that just like our Father? We brace ourselves for the possibility of MEaness (which can at times accompany a welcome ‘correction’) and He then bowls us over with MEekness, MErcy and kindness. Hallelujah!

Edward Bernays, the ‘Father of propaganda’ said. “First name call ( Conspiracy Theorists, Anti Vaxers, Covid Deniers) then appeal to authorities”..…”Believe me I’m a Fact Checker”  : – )

The bible tells us that each of us are responsible to, “Test ALL things. Hold fast to what is good.“ (1 These. 5:21)

It also says,”Faithful are the wounds of a friend, profuse are the kisses of an enemy.” (Prov.27:5)

I would rather someone challenge me than flatter me or just ‘Unsubscribe’ without first expressing their objection.

I recently appreciated three long standing friends ‘pushing  back” about the notion of conspiracy. I have been pondering what they (you) said and began forming a response in the last blog. Of course there is “a lot of craziness out there” however I thought in this follow up blog I would use their objections as a springboard to offer up three honorable perspectives you will not get in the Mainstream Harfung media so that you can ‘Test’ them for yourself. 

One friend warned me off the notion of ‘a grand conspiracy’  

1. Agenda 21 may not even be considered a ‘conspiracy’ since it is ‘hidden in plain sight’.  I suppose it relies on the reality that most people lead busy lives and don’t have time to look into these things. However trust in politicians and the press and the ‘experts’ is at an all time low and so more and more people are thinking twice before swallowing all they are fed hook, line and sinker. 

I would recommend the following interview as a primer.

2. Robert F Kennedy Jr as a member of the Kennedy family (JFK’s nephew) peeks people’s interest. He is the founder of the world’s largest clean water advocacy group. His website is childrenshealthdefense.org As I have followed and listened to this man of faith, courage and integrity over the years, he has become one of my heros! Were you aware of probably the largest gathering in German history a few weeks ago, where an estimated 1 million people came to listen to him? Probably not if you still rely on the Harfung media who rather than reporting this sort of real news give mainly information supporting their backer’s views.

A third good friend wrote. “As for Cue anon. That is a laughable rightwing conspiracy”

3. Cue is the way I write the letter because all things related to this are now being tracked and heavily censored by the Harfung social media platforms. So if this is the last blog you get from me – you’ll know what happened : – )

Next to President T himself, Cue is the most maligned subject on Harfung Media which in itself says a lot.  I have been following the posts (not second hand reports about the posts) for a few years now.

I appreciate the way this open military intelligence source does not tell you what to think, but simply asks questions and encourages you to do the work. “Test ALL things”

The slogan WWG1WGA (Where We Go One We Go All) is pro humanity and God acknowledging, attracting a rapidly growing number of diverse followers (anons) from across the world. The main thrust I have found is a desire and commitment to expose societal corruption, so it can be dealt with.

I have found Dave Hayes (prayingmedic.com ) helpful in making sense of the posts. After a radical conversion, God used Dave as a paramedic (hence his pseudonym prayingmedic) to pray for and see thousands of people healed, one at at time in ambulances! He taught on hearing God’s voice and healing, but then God clearly spoke to him about ‘decoding’ cue posts. I have found him a level headed, honest and humble seeker after truth and with his commentary found cue’s post’s consistently reliable, reasonable and quite remarkable. Psalm 2 describes God’s response to authentic human conspiracy “The one enthroned in heaven laughs” (Psalm 2: 4) 

As I said to my friend (who is still my friend.) “Time will tell whether the laugh is borne out on earth or in heaven : – )”

In the meantime may we all seek to walk with a ‘repentant disposition’ i.e. an openness to changing our mind and our behavior, as we, “Test…ALL things.”

“As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be at the coming of the Son of Man.” (Matt 24:37) 

In Genesis 6:11 we are told that in the days of Noah,”….the earth was corrupt IN GOD”S SIGHT and full of violence.” 

God sees much that we can be unaware of. Consider for example the hidden ‘violence’ of an unborn child being quietly killed every 96 seconds in the USA.

God also sees all that is ‘corrupt’ that we are oblivious to.  

Take for example the subtle corruption of language. Take for example the word ‘conspiracy’ 

Psalm 2 begins, “Why do the nations CONSPIRE….and the kings of the earth plot in vain against the Lord and against his anointed.” 

The entire biblical narrative is riddled with ‘conspiracy’, from the skulduggery of the old testament kings as they wrestled for power against one another to the plot by ‘the kings of the earth’ to destroy the ‘King of heaven’. (Dan.4:37)

‘Indeed Herod and Pontius Pilate met together with the Gentiles and the people of Israel in this city TO CONSPIRE against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed.” (Acts 4: 37)

The conspirators then persuade the majority to cry “Crucify Him!”

In fact we could say:

NO CONSPIRACY = NO CROSS

The conspirators having failed on this count then desperately try further conspiracy to keep their failure a secret.

^“12 When the chief priests had met with the elders and devised a plan, they gave the soldiers a large sum of money, ¹³ telling them, “You are to say, ‘His disciples came during the night and stole him away while we were asleep.’ ¹⁴ If this report gets to the governor, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble.” ¹⁵ So the soldiers took the money and did as they were instructed. And this story has been widely circulated among the Jews to this very day.” (Matt:28: 12-15)

Thankfully for us, we have received grace to see beyond that false narrative and to believe the ‘good news’ that Christ did rise from the dead!

No wonder the word ‘conspiracy’ has in these Noahic days of corruption been so targeted by ‘conspirators’ behind the Mainstream so that now anyone who dares question their Harfung narrative is ‘Cancelled’ and mocked using the now derisory term, “Conspiracy Theorist”

Listen to the satirist JP Sears, highlighting how the leadership of the Harfung Big Tech giants are currently continuing to conspire.

Biblically there is no IF about ‘conspiracy’. It was and continues to be a fact. The only question is who are the conspirators and what is their conspiracy?

The starting point in this search is a searching of our own hearts, for the bible says, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly corrupt: who can know it?” (Jer.17:9) So we must humbly acknowledge this and ask God to, “Search me, and know my heart try me and know my thoughts and see if there be any wicked way within me.” (Ps. 139:23) and make us one of those who,”have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.” (Heb.5:14), all the while acknowledging that it is God who opens eyes and ears and hearts to truth. (Ex. 4:11) 

Then I believe we must ask him to help us discern, people who as I have listed before, manifest humility and integrity, uncovering facts that add up over time. 

Another way to put this is people with a ‘repentant disposition’. Repentance, combining the OT and NT words, means a willingness to change your mind and your behavior.

Someone in whom I touched this ‘repentant’ disposition directed me to Tim Pool, a 34 year old ‘independent’ journalist. Tim would say of himself, “I believe in God but I’m not religious.” There are a number of viewpoints he holds that I would not (as on abortion and taxes) but what has impressed me is his willingness to go after truth, and change his mind (and his vote). Have a listen to yesterday’s post and see what I mean : – )

When I finish writing a blog I get one or two others to do a spell check and flesh check. I also like to go for a run to see if Father want’s to add a P.S.

Today we are having first serious (in fact record breaking!) snow fall, and so delightedly I set out to ‘run the Christmas card!’

As I ran I reflected on Tim’s talking about the meaning of MAGA and what was really meant by Make America Great Again. I was reminded of when the Spirit had whispered in my ear an alternative meaning, “Make America God’s At the end.” This is not just about America Returning to what was, but a Restoration beyond that, to God’s original intention.

As I ran my usual route I discovered that the heavy wet snow falling on the remaining leaves had caused the branches to bow over, so that my path was blocked. I made my way around it and as I ran on the phrase “Weight of Glory” came to me. As I completed the circle and reached the obscured path again I paused to take a photo. The phone was frozen dead! So I was impressed to proceed on hands and knees beneath the bowed branches. As I emerged I sensed Father say to me.

“There is coming a weight of glory that people will be so in awe of that they will be caused to bend and bow down in fear lest they might disturb it. It will be too holy to ‘record’ but will be for those living in the present presence.

When you emerge at the other end of this you will be surprised, for some ‘upstanding’ members of the establishments you thought you would see, will not have bowed to make it through, and others ‘downtrodden’ by those establishments, will be there, standing tall.

On this glory journey a ‘repentant disposition’ is all that matters as you go forward one step at a time.”

Whether on that journey we see Trump or Biden or someone else as the next US President?…….that is GODSELECTION.

I realize the new word I have invented for the title of this blog could be taken in a number of different ways. Over the next few weeks I plan to share every few days some of ‘the light‘ that I receive as it passes through the jewel of this word!

I mentioned several months ago that Hilary and I had been lead to apply for US citizenship and how then three identical letters from the USCIS arrived in the mail on the same day! The third letter was addressed to (Joshua) Gilbert who unbeknown to us had also been prompted after 26 years living in the US to apply for citizenship!!! This was a third witness that we had indeed, heard from the Lord, and perfectly on time!

The letter confirmed that the government agency had accepted our money and assured us the process was under way!

Having heard nothing since then I went to the website to see if I could get some idea as to the timeline. I was shocked to discover that the earliest date we could expect to receive citizenship would be March 2021!

I had thought the process would have been much quicker and we three would have been eligible to have voted in the upcoming election.

I was lead to the story of Jesus being challenged about paying taxes. His response was to ask for a coin. (Apparently there were three different currencies circulating at the time, Jewish shekels, Roman denarii and coins from Tyre.) Jesus asked, “Whose image is on this coin?” The answer came back, “Caesar’s” He then replied, “Render onto Caesar the things that are Caesar’s and render unto God the things that are God’s” (Mark 12:13-17)

We of course bear the image of our Creator God, for we were made “in his image”, and so we are indebted to offer him the whole of our lives.

Father then said to me, “I did not bring you to America to be a voter, which is why you are not currently indebted to this country to vote in November. I brought you to America as a prophet which is why you are indebted to me to continue to prophecy.” 

I have never felt free to call myself a “Prophet” nor indeed take any of the 5 fold ministries as ‘a title’, though Bob Jones, when he did his fingers to fingers discernment with me, chuckled and said, “You’ve got them all.”

While having functioned over the years in laying foundations, prophecy, teaching, evangelism and pastoring, I simply have used whatever God has put in my hand to love the people he has set before me at that time. This is how Hilary and I continue to operate. We don’t get to choose about these things! This is an example of my new word, GODSELECTION.

I received this personal word from another trusted ‘prophetess’ recently, “As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” (Is. 55:10)

We just had our first dusting of the ”snow come down from heaven’ – ‘out of the blue’! Snow represents revelation. As I have said before, in these blogs I try not to share personal opinions, but offer insights I believe I’ve been given. As I share them, it is for you then to add the most important element – your faith, wherever you are able.

My thoughts over the next few weeks will be based around Psalm 2.

Why do the nations conspire^[

for his wrath can flare up in a moment.

A few mornings ago just before waking, I found myself in a realm where I was singing a song with another brother we are in close fellowship with. We were given the song by the Spirit, in tandem, line by line. The theme of our song was “How long?” – as in Rev. 6:9,10

“When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had upheld. They called out in a loud voice, “How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?”

As our intercession joined with these souls under the altar, I knew this cry went beyond those clearly identified as martyrs for their faith in Christ, to the children who were aborted before seeing the light of day……. and that this 2000+ year long prayer, was about to be answered!

This past weekend we had a wonderful personal experience of justice coming to pass.

The long dark cloud of opposition to the ministry of hospitality here at Rivendell I have blogged about over the last few years has lifted, and the sun is shining again, more brightly than ever!

The Divine Court case that we knew had been won in the heavenlies has now played out on earth, and within a few weeks the opposition, coming through a neighbor in tandem with our City authorities, has disappeared, and a new family has moved in next door!

Let me take this opportunity to clarify again that by the subtitle to the above video, “Removal Of-fence” I am using ‘offence’ in the sense of ‘a violation of God’s law’. We have sought all along not to ‘take offense’ and have forgiven, prayed for and blessed both our neighbor and the members of the City Council through whom the spiritual attack (offense) upon us has come. As I have said a number of times, I believe all of us are simply playing ‘the role’ allocated in the Divine Drama and even as God has “bound everyone over to disobedience” so in the end he has obligated himself to, “have mercy on them all.” (Rm.11: 32)

My thanks to one reader who wrote taking exception to my pointing out in a past blog that the FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith’s name described the offence he had admitted to and been charged with (as in ‘C – lying- smith’?). I realize it may be a bit of a stretch for some to join me in my belief that our smiling Dad is ‘hooked on phonics’, however, this connection was pointed out with no animosity toward dear Kevin, who in the end of the day will, I believe, be forgiven his offense by his heavenly father, and awaken to his true identity as a ‘son of God’, and renamed, “Truthsmith”

News of our new neighbor’s arrival came when we were in Ireland through a text from Gilbert. “The new family have moved in. They are a BIG HIT. They want to know can we take down the fence? ”    

Last Saturday, which I realized afterwards was “the last and greatest day of the feast” (of Tabernacles) we had indeed a great feast here as we welcomed our new neighbors, ‘The Smiths’, and their two delightful children into our home.

The first conversation I had with the new neighbor ‘Dad’ centered around the delight of little George as he was discovering what a wonderful world he has landed in! ….and how sad it is that we loose that sense of wonder in life over the years!

The 13 of us seated round the table, shared stories over the sumptuous meal of waguburgers and all the trimmings (courtesy of George’s Dad, Bill, our first non-Kyle residents in many months). All three families assembled recounted the ‘whispers’ and the flow of grace that had accompanied our transitioning together at this time to ‘Rivendell’.

The morning after this beautiful event I received the following email from friends in Belfast who knew nothing of what had happened the night before,

The last blog, “The King is Coming!” featured the ‘fire in the north‘ being rekindled and a light of truth being lit through The Great Barrington Declaration. Just in the past week that fire has grown to over 10 times the size it was, with now nearly half a million signatories! 

Yesterday I was sent another video (below) which builds on this global justice development as Mystery Babylon/ the Queen of Underland and her corrupt corporate accomplices/ Harfung Giants, are exposed and brought to account. (I blogged about this biblical and literary template in Revelation 18 and C.S. Lewis’ “The Silver Chair”, that I have found helpful in making sense of our world today, on May 17th and 21st.)  

This, alongside our own little personal ‘justice’ story in Robbinsdale is what inspired the title “The Judge is Coming!” – for “The light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it.”

Dr Reiner Fuellmich begins by giving his credentials, experience and success as a trial lawyer against fraudulent corporations, “such as Deutsche Bank, formerly one of the largest and most respected banks in the world, now one of the most toxic criminal organizations in the world, and Volkswagen, formerly one of the largest and most respected car manufacturers in the world now notorious for it’s giant diesel fraud…..”

Could the Queen and her Giants be panicking?

Following yesterday’s blog, Cheryl sent me this note shedding further ‘light’ on things!

Our ‘ministry of availability’ begins afresh each morning with our offering ourselves to the Lord for whatever ‘today’s adventure’ might bring.

Yesterday my expectation for the day was heightened knowing that for the year 2020, 6th October was ‘the middle of the feast’. The biblical types and shadows point to this day of each year being the day when Jesus will appear in fulfillment of the feast of Tabernacles ( Jn.7:14)

This year I was only mildly disappointed : – )

I opened an email from a friend that began,

“….look what happened in Great Barrington this weekend!”

Then followed a link describing “The Great Barrington Declaration”.

Before getting to the significance of the DECLARATION itself, having highlighted the significance of the TIME, let me also highlight the significance of the PLACE – i. e. Great Barrington.

In the year 2001, Katherine Puleo from Worcester, MA., who lead the annual prayer breakfasts at the Massachusetts State Capital, heard The Flame song, which I has written ostensibly for Australia on the occasion of the 2000 Olympics. Katherine was convinced on hearing the song that it had also also been given for the US of A, and invited us to come to it’s ‘birthplace’ – New England.

The song begins,

“When our father’s joined in that Pilgrim band

They were searching for a promised land.”

and continues,

“Does the flame burn brighter in your hand than it burned

In the hand of your father when he said, ‘It’s your turn

Take the torch of faith, run throughout the land

Let the flame burn bright within you.'”

The Pilgrim Fathers had landed in 1620 at Plymouth Rock with a vision to pray “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on this part of earth, and then from this part of earth to the uttermost ends of the earth, as it is in heaven.”

On that first visit to New England I also had occasion to sing the song ‘O Ireland’ which concludes,

“O Ireland from whence the gospel light was shed

O Ireland the dove now hovers o’er your head

Only in Jesus could you ever be

One in heart completely free

And once again God’s love proclaim

A burning heart in Jesus name.”

The song is based on a vision attributed to St Patrick (also to St. Bridgit.) In the vision Patrick sees a map of Ireland aflame with the fire of God. The fire however dies down and the saint cries out to God, “Is this what is to become of the land? God says, “Look again”, and when Patrick looks again he sees embers in the north burst into flame, and the island once again being engulfed in the fire of God with flames and light going out to the north and the south, the east and the west!

As I sang that song I saw the same vision unfold for the USA with a rekindling of The Flame of God beginning again in the north

A few years ago Katherine died, however on that first visit we met another couple who pastor a church in New England. Over the years we have become close friends and visited many times. Collins and Cheryl Lein have stood in the gap faithfully for many years for the New England area and this nation.

Their church building is built at the site where a missionary from the Great Awakening brought the gospel to the local Native people. This was evangelism ‘done right’ as testified by the fact that the indigenous people requested that when they died they would be buried in a circle around the missionary’s grave, so that on the day of resurrection the first face they would see would be their beloved pastor!

The Leins (linen) stand, live and pray, wait for it…in GREAT BARRINGTON!

This little town of about 7,000 people ‘just happens’ to be the place where I believe a candle has just been lit in the midst of the present world darkness!

A few months ago when in Boston with Robin, Hilary and I had the opportunity to sing at Living God Fellowship’s ‘Covid’ outdoor service in the midst of the beautiful Berkshire Hills our own Great Barrington Declaration.

“And the whole of creation cries with one voice

Your Maker loves you

Rejoice! O Man Rejoice!”

Last weekend three world renowned professors of epidemiology from the Universities of Harvard, Stanford and Oxford England, met together at a house in Great Barrington

Their purpose was to propose an alternative approach to handling the “Covid crisis”, one based on honest science and morality.

The ‘collateral damage’ from the current draconian measures which they say have violated standard public health protocols has far outweighed any benefit in curtailing the virus. The one country that did not breach these protocols, Sweden, is now seen to be the ‘gold standard’ for management.

Dr Gupta said in a subsequent interview that because of this overreaction,

“130 MILLION will die of starvation alone……just let that sink in!”

Theirs sounds like a voice of sanity in the midst of the madness.

…….A flame of truth and a holy fire being rekindled in the midst of a corrupt world.

The word that sealed our move, from Belfast to Minneapolis 27 years ago, was delivered by our 3 year old Gilbert, who at that time went by his first given name, Joshua.

Not to be outdone by his brothers and sisters he too had ‘a word’ as we sought the Lord as a family about the prophecy we’d received a few months earlier, ‘God is going to move you to a different continent.’ 

“This is my verse Daddy’  Joshua said, presenting his bible to me.

I read the passage where it had fallen open. It was Deuteronomy chapter 9.

“Hear O Israel, you are  about to cross the Jordan to enter a land with cities whose walls reach up to the sky……..I go before you as a consuming fire.”

These words were spoken originally to God’s people by another Joshua. For us the Atlantic Ocean was to be our ‘Jordan’, which we were now ‘to cross’ 

Last month we were lead ‘to cross’ our Jordan again. We got a clear message from Dad through details of the trip, that were completely outside our control.

We had two flights to Ireland. On the first flight from Minneapolis to Chicago we were called to the podium to be told our seats assignment had been changed. We were now both in row 25.

Then waiting to board the flight to Dublin, once again were called to the podium and once again we were told our seats had been changed.

Our new seats were once again …….in row 25.

What are the chances?

in “The Biblical Meaning of Numbers” by Dr Stephen Jones we read,

The significance of the #42 was not lost on us for when we moved to the US, our first home was on 42nd Ave.

42 also points to crossing over. The 42nd encampment of the children of Israel (listed in Numbers ch. 33) was when they crossed over into ‘the promised land’ to receive their inheritance.

In Matthew chapter 1 where the generations from Abraham to Jesus are numbered, the text says there are 42 generations to the Christ. However if you count them you will find there are only 41. This indicates how Jesus Christ, the head, is incomplete apart from His ‘body’. The 42nd generation points to the day when the body of Overcomers who have died are raised, and those who are still alive are ‘changed’ to be joined with their ‘Head’ (1Thess.4:13-18)

On the fourth and final leg of the pilgrimage, we were assigned the last two free seats together. This time the two of us found ourselves in row 21.

I realized 21 + 21 = 42.

When I took this photo I happened to notice the time overlying screen saver photo of Hilary pictured at the top.

42 yet again, prefaced with another gracious 5! and the phone is 50% charged…..a third Jubilee!

Thus, I believe we were given a very clear message on this trip across our ‘Jordan’.

The believer’s ‘hope‘ of ‘Jubilee’ ,with a third outpouring of the Holy Spirit, fulfilling the Fall Feasts, as we cross over into our ‘promised land’ receiving again our ‘inheritance’ lost in Adam, but restored in Jesus,

…….is indeed, immanent! 

I want to take the risk of sharing another example of holiness and (Irish) humor that came up this week.

Many are currently puzzled by the lack of common sense and the sketchiness of the science behind the regulations that are currently being imposed on us by some technocrats and politicians at the cost of our civil liberties.

Last Sunday 10 of us humans gathered in the open air at Lisnabreeny Ring Rath.

As we sang,

The heavens declare the glory of God………

And the whole of creation cries with one voice

Your Maker loves you!

Rejoice! O Man! Rejoice!

……..we were joined by a chorus of birdsong.

A herd of cows drew near with transfixed gaze and a couple of dogs appeared scurrying amongst us😊

We were directed to Isaiah 40 which speaks about the greatness and transcendance of Creator God as revealed in the heavens and the stars, in contrast to man, small as a grasshopper, and transient as grass.

“The Feast of Trumpets” pointing us to the day when the dead in Christ will be raised, was begun with the news of the death of the ‘iconic’ Supreme Court Judge, Ruth Nader Ginsburg. As we drove to the ancient circular fort our friends informed us that earlier that morning a prominent local Judge we had known had also suddenly died within the feast.

We turned to verse 23.

“He makes the JUDGES of the earth chaos, meaningless, as nothing, insignificant, emptiness, vanity, futility, useless, falsity. No sooner are they planted, no sooner are they sown, no sooner do they take root in the ground, than he blows on them and they wither, and a whirlwind sweeps them away like chaff.

From the top of the hill we had a spectacular view of Belfast and much of the North. We read of the “good news” that was to be proclaimed from the mount of Zion, now Sion represented by Mt. Hermon.

Matt. 17 describes how “On the 6th day“ Jesus along with Moses and Elijah was transfigured on the Mount, pre figuring how some year when the time has come for the feast of Tabernacles to be fulfilled, we too should expect to be glorified. If a day is as a thousand years, six thousand years from Adam chronologically points to this time!

At that time the Father announced, “This is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased.” (Matt.17)

“It’s all about knowing our true dentity.” One of our circle within the Ring offered.

“Let me give you some background. I am a tight arsed Ulster Prod!” He continued.

”Used to be” His wife muttered………as if from the Father…….as we all chuckled.

I was reminded of a comment another Irish friend had made about his father whom he honored.

“He was a very Holy man. Would never have thought of taking the Lord’s name in vain. But he had a very earthy sense of humor that was graphic. For example he used to say,“

“He’s as tight as a bull‘s arse going up a hill!”

For my Ulster Protestant friend to have used the same turn of phrase about himself was to me ‘humorous humility’. For his wife to acknowledge the transforming work of God that can take the negatives we may inherit from our culture or our family and lift us up to discover our true identity as “Beloved sons of the Most High God.” was to me ‘humorous honesty’

A dour mean spirited stereotype can be conformed into the joyfully generous hearted image of the Son perfectly reflecting his loving Father.

Thus was revealed the antidote to Self Importance, when as little men we try to make ourselves big by taking control over others, because we have not discovered who we truly are, in Christ……and “rest secure”

The gathering drew to an end as we sang together,

”I am in Christ. Christ is in me.

This is my true identity

And I will dwell in the shadow of your wings.

And I will rest secure.“

……..and the cows, a symbol of Tabernacles, turned around when the song was done, knowing it was time to engage again in their own “rest work”

The song “Why Would We Not Sing?” posted on the last blog was written long before the ‘novel‘ virus, but has proven to be quite prophetic given the restrictions now being imposed on church’s worship.

Similarly the words I penned several months ago have also proven to have become increasingly prophetic,

“When wrong is called right and right is called wrong

When the court is corrupt, true religion gone home

When wisdom is drowned by the noise of the throng

There will never stop singing this beautiful song……

All will be well.“

I am going to share one response to “Why Would We Not Sing?” and it’s accompanying ‘novel‘ video and then explain why.

“Hey Paul. I just saw on the news that there’s a manhunt underway in Donegal for what they’re calling the Rosguill Flasher! They say he’s Spanish because he goes by the name Seenyour Bum. His wife was heard singing and dancing in a hulah skirt nearby. Her name is said to be Grassy Ass. They said they looked like two agged flower children doing an impression of Sunny and Cher. But sure why would they not sing! Powerful stuff! I won’t shop you. Sure they’d never believe it was a wee prod from East Belfast anyway. Might prejudice your green card. You might get deported by them Trumpians before you even get to vote! The Free P’s won’t listen to you nigh about the end is nigh!“

Now some of my American readers might be a bit taken aback by such earthy and unPC humor! (Some of it might go completely over your head!) However believe me, the writer is a living Celtic saint!

Come to think of it most of the living Celtic saints I know are endowed with this oft overlooked key in my estimation as to “How The Irish Saved Civilization” during ‘The Dark Ages’

…..their sense of humor,

…..particularly their ability to laugh at themselves.…….not to take themselves too seriously!

Might that be called humility?

In Ps.45:7 it is said of Jesus, “God has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your companions.”

This is not limited to the Irish saints. When I get together and with my closest committed companions in the US, like St. Brian, St Bill, St Mike, St.Robin and St.Gil, there is much laughter as well as some tears as things are shared authentically and felt deeply.

Honesty, Humility and Humor seem to me to be a Holy Trinity!

Currently we are once again experiencing an assault aimed at destroying the Judeo – Christian foundation of Western civilization. Our confident hope however is that by the grace of God we will emerge from this current Dark Age into a new ‘Kingdom Age’ for “the Light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it”……and All Will Be Well.

……..and maybe God in that process might just use again “a wild Celt”…. who is able to make people laugh

…….and is able to laugh at himself?😊

……..and is not embedded in the establishment (but in the blog).
